Ill keep it simple, how much should me and a few friends budget for if we want to make a road trip around europe, no particular destination, two people per car and mayby 3 cars.

We need to include petrol, food/drink and accomodation (B&B).

Just a rough price per week will do as none of us have any idea what sore of figures were looking at.

cheers

Would be a good idea to work out where you wanna go first, and a rough route.

Then its a lot easier to budget for Wink

Actually, it depends....you can work out the length of a piece of string Razz

See - A piece of string is twice the distance of half the length Laughing

Going to depend on what style of place you are going to stay in. How you intend to live while on the trip.
How far you travel each day etc....

You really need to decide where you want to go, what length of time its over and the above.
Once you have them then you can look at what it might cost.
Min is petrol and B&B, max is what ever you like....

i'd cut the cars to 2 cars and 3 people per car. One of your biggest expense is gonna be fuel. One car less and you have an extra third of fuel money to spend on beer and hookers.

I'm doing this https://www.coyote-rally.co.uk/ with 3 mates in April, we also have some other friends traveling in other cars.

Its only over 5 days which seems a bit of rush for the distance that we'll cover plus bar crawls in the evenings, but we're going to spend a couple of days chilling out in Amsterdam before driving back.
We're looking at an old 300quid Merc 190 Cool next week for the trip.

It would help if you took less cars for the ferry crossings and fuel as split between 4 people they work out a lot cheaper.
We've booked hostels for each place, you can get 5-6 people rooms which work out at hardly anything per person, just search for hostels in all the places you decided to visit beforehand on the web.

Sites like https://www.streetsafari.com run lots of rallies around Europe you could alway look at some of there routes to get some ideas of where to go. They have a forum which has some useful info on as well.

I plan to go on the bike, and will be camping when possible, but will budget for a B&B 2 or maybe 3 times in a week so I can be sure to get a shower and some decent sleep, no idea what B&B will cost, presumably about £50 for 2 ppl is fair.

Camping I imagine £10 for a tent, fuel, well a quick google will give you prices, then work out your mpg and how far you plan to drive. Then there's food, again unless your mum buys you everything i'm sure you know how much food costs, breakdown cover (essential), spending cash to do stuff while you're there or buy random crap, and some emergency cash incase you get done speeding or something breaks on your car and you need to get a new one out ther (tyre etc).

What cars are you talking about?

Main thing about touring Europe that puts me off is the amount of fuel usage... imagine touring Europe in an RS6 with 14mpg? Be broke before you got to Dover!

Getting the car serviced and anything it needs too (tyres?) would be a bitch too, last thing you want is to be stuck somewhere in france broke down on a sunday (France closes completely on a sunday!! so make sure you got bogroll/fluffy white rabbit)

Or maybe that would add to the adventure if you were that way inclined.
