If that really was 100mph then you're very lucky, but I'd be amazed if you did actually come off at that speed given those pics.

Sig needs updating!

Still looks like you didnt do too bad for the speed. Didnt run into anything immobile which is always a plus!

So no clue how it happened?

Was someone pulling wheelies...? Shifty

updated the post, i've got 500 quid i was going to spend on leathers to repair the bike, 700 if needed. my thumb is in agony, they said it might be fractured but cant tell, im hopeing its not, otherwise im fucked getting to college and work on my other bike with a cast Shocked .

well i was doing 125 and slowed to about 70, through some lights and accelerating hard again, it must have been between 90 and 110, i slad on my arse for a good 30m and the bike for about 50m. I think theres a slight dip in the road, that must have caused it, it didnt go into a tank slapper or slide or anything, 1 second upright, next second on my ass Confused

and the worst bit of the crash was not getting anally rammed by cats eyes, it was seeing my lovely bike scrapping down the road

Utter wank tbh. Even before he passed his test he crashed like 7-8 times on a cbr125? I rode a full power Hornet not long after passing my test and I haven't come off. It's not the power of the bike. It's the idiot on the bike.

It's all dependent on the rider and the attitude he/she has.

A dip on the road made you instantly go down? You'd have no chance on diesel/oil then/metal covers/etc. Even white lines Rolling Eyes . I've hit plenty of dips at those speeds and nothing much came out of it apart from a slight bump.

Sucks you came off, at least you're not hurt too badly but I highly doubt it was a "dip" on the road.

prehaps, but it still wont change my mind about getting it restricted Middle Finger Mr. Green

Laughing i agree with molotov (sp?) here.
no deiseal, no white lines, very slight dip, your guess is as good as mine, the dip seems the only explanation although i dont think it was that either. And i totally agree it was because of my riding style that i came off.

I'm not saying get it restricted. I took my restrictors out and I won't be putting them back in unless I truely have to. Just be more wary of the road and get used to the bike and your limits before you try and rag it.

True, he was lucky.

Depending on the road, conditions and time and how many other people were out on the road at that time it could be deemed safe. I sometimes do 80+ on a 30 which is a long straight road, no junctions, at 3 AM sunday morning when there is no one else. Safe? I believe it to be so.

Agree. Considering Andy C came off at 120, and everyone saw what happened to his SV, both you and the bike were very lucky indeed.

Still, you slid 30m from 100mph? My bike can't brake that hard. Shocked

Hope it's not too pricey to mend. Thumbs Up

If that's the case I'd take a look at your riding style before you really do some damage. Crashing's only good when you get away with it.

Straight line you say? I'd be checking out all the moving parts of your bike before riding it, along with the the nuts and bolts holding your controls/forks/wheels etc Wink

Given that you've had so many crashes on your 125, which you mostly blame on bad luck and other people and now this apparently random crash from riding in a straight line.

.......I'd seriously be considering a new hobby, lucks clearly not on your side.
Anyway good news that your not badly hurt and the SV's not too damaged. Thumbs Up

Glad its just a bruised pride and a repair bill...

However man that you were riding in a straight line and it just went down sounds really suspect to me...

Was there a brick in the road or something???

In every one of my crashes (and there have been quite a few) i know exactly what happened,

The First was after i had not been long on the road and a arab Merc driver opened his MAHOOSIVE door into me - That taught me to not ride so close to parked cars

Another time I lost it on diesel - that one taught me to scan through corners and take into account the surface of the road before opening it up

I van had me off once - now it was his fault yes but i was filtering too fast, that one taught me a time and place (sometimes anyway...)

Theres more, but the point is every time i have crashed i could pinpoint what went wrong and could learn not to do that again, Painfull but well learnt lessons...

Now if i was riding along at around a tonne and i suddenly crashed for no reason at all... Shocked, well i guess i must have done something really wrong for that to happen, you follow dude?

Unless you can realise what went wrong think twice about jumping straight back on or it could be waiting to happen again...

twas thinking of that, but i doubt i would get enough cash to buy a new bike, and be able to afford the insurance.

edit: it bugs the hell out of me why i crashed, i don't think i was brakeing, i might have blacked out for a second or two to find myself on the floor, i dont know. Going to go back and inspect the area when my hands good enough.

Ffs half_lyfe i think you need to calm down a bit, your obviously not half as skilled as you think you are.

You have got lucky the last what is it 10? times. Maybe you should think about getting the bike restricted or doing some advance lessons, track days or just taking it easy because you truly suck and might not be so lucky next time.

Were they Dragging combats or Hood's? Now that you've 'road tested' them would you buy another pair, did they protect your skin?

I think 100mph, is hosting an extra 0.

No way could you crash at 100mph or 90 or 70 and not even touch your jacket or lid down, if you slid along the road soley sitting up on your arse at that speed you'd have a mushy bloody stump left instead of a backside not a couple of tears in ur combats and a sore thumb.

Get real, was more like 20-25mph, and no doubt you booted it on cold tyres, rear spun out and you lowsided.

I would have thought at a ton the bike wouldn't have just scraped along nicely, but would have gone right arse over tit a couple of times and made a right mess. Lucky, like.
