need a bag.....

something to use on the bike. nothing too special. I need it to be a reasonable size (20-25 litres) and have comfy straps and maybe even a waist strap. under £30 if possible.

any suggestions?

I went to Infinity today and got a new rucksack which fits a treat, can hold a lid and has an extra zip out canvas bit for second lid, cost £29.99, will try find a pic. Quality buy.

Just out of curiosity does specific motorcycle rucksacks really make a difference? ive used several old nike and adidas rucksacks i found in the loft and i had a massive animal bag that was unfortunately cut off me after my crash and they dont really bother me after riding for ages with them on.

Just makes me wonder if its just all a marketing ploy.

I don't know about that, but the girl in the shop took me through a couple and this was best, her first recommendation and I can't fault her for it, it's comfy, does what I need(and more) and was cheap. Really impressed. When I've had it a month or so(long enough to iron out any faults) I'll do a review.

also in reply, i doubt it makes much difference whether its a specific motorcyclye bag or not.I just need something thats comfy.and when I get my new bike I'm hoping to do a couple of long trips so I'm gonna need thick straps, and reasonable size etc etc.thanks for all the suggestions so far

I've got a Gelert Global Travel 20l; it's 20litres, built well, has a wide strap mechanism and also a torso strap.
It's not waterproof but for carrying the little things to and from the gf's house and work etc its pretty damn good.

I'm still using a Lowe Alpine bag that was left over from my schooldays, also use it everyday for work.

Come to think of it, it still being waterproof (even at 90mph) and fully working (not even a broken zip) after what, 11 years or so of continuous use and abuse is pretty bloody astounding...

Lowe Alpine PAX 30 - cant recommend it highly enough (even though you probably cant find one now...).
