Speedo Drive?

The speedo drive on my NSR has stopped working, is it possible to fix them and what is the general fault with them?Cos it seems to be a common fault with NSR 125.

ive neva had that problem,

check the cable on both sides or get a quote from a garage!

Is there a way to tell if it is the drive or the cable thats gone? I hope its the cable anyways cuz I am payin £17 for one on saturday

diconnect the cable at the clock and hold your finger over the top of the cable and spin the front wheel, if the the bar inside the cable spins then your speedo drive is ok

hi there
the same happend to my bike it was the speedo drive in the wheel its like a washer with two metal shimes on it they got sheared off.ask your local dealer to do it also check your front bearing as the debrie from it snapping fucked my bearing and my bike was only two days old but shit happens hope this helps taz Smile

i paid £15 for a new speedo cable(carnells).
piss easy to fit,then to check it worked(pissin down and didnt want to ride)
i tilted the bike back on its side stand with my weight on the back so it lifted the front wheel,and got the missis to spin it quickly.
you could do the same to check the gear in the wheel after disconnecting it from the speedo.

Go onto Kazaa or Morpheus and get a Key changer. I used to have this problem when I was using a dodgy copy of Counter-Strike, which me and about 3 other mates had installed. It meant that we could not play on the same server cos we all had the same WONID. So we got a key changer which generates a random WONID and the chances of having the same WONID as someone else on the server are extremely minimal.
