My mate was telling me about a website where he was watching cctv cameras around stockport, but cant remember the website, I have done a google and yahoo search but cant find anything of the sort.

Does anyone know of such a site and if so can you link it please?

Andy, i think there's a protocol that prevents such things mate, i feel your mate is pulling your wire.

Truly stunned SP.....

There is a lot of regulation about CCTV useage and how it is viewed and its effectiveness in trial.
I'm gonna do so digging this week on this.

Why would it have to be illegal, I'm sure there was a website which let you watch video feed from Australia or LA or something. It was on here too.

Baby is sound, thanks Johnny, it was Kev who told me about it, said he was doing it last week, he was watching the stockport college cameras, he tried getting on the pyramid cameras but it wouldn't let him.

He did also say that the site warned connection would be cut if the police chose to.

He just cant remember the site.

Hows tricks?

chuck this into google - then look through the links - you can control most of them (scan/tilt/zoom etc):

My and the g/f were trying to take photographs of aircraft reflected in the glass at the pyramid a few years ago and the security guards came out to ask what we were doing. They must have thought we were casing the joint!.

Pics didn't turn out great, but the aircraft were only reflected in the glass for about a second. Will have to try again someday.

if you google

inurl:"view/index.shtml"

youll find a number of axis IP cameras dotted all over the place. you can control most of them.

you might to install a few plugins depending on your browser.
