A few £ spent on there!

I like the forks, its the only part bar a turbojet crammed in or a TZR engine that I would like to change on mine, oh and some new brakes, rear hangers, bars, mirrors, cowl.....

https://w3.bikepics.com/pics/2007%5C10%5C12%5Cbikepics-1053353-800.jpg

I was looking for some little bits and bobs last night and it would appear that MBUK have some new stock and some very tasty mods to be had.

woooo didnt know i'd find so many monkey lovers Smile

costs no where near as much as an orginal honda, there are loads of special made custom parts on there though, most of the bike is OORacing www.ooracing.com

There engines are the strong point, nearly on par with takegawa at a fraction of the cost,

total cost to build is close to £2000

I just picked up a 2005 Thumpstar 125 with smoto wheels that I'm planning on racing next year.

Just in the process of taking it apart/cleaning it.

Couple of surprises like the chain has started to grind through the swing arm, and the chain guide below the swingarm pivot is nicely bent.

Still, it's all cleaned up nicely, and for £250 with a spare set of wheels I aint gonna argue!
Kinda wanna get the frame and swingarm powder coated but it's just expensive, and I know I'm gonna crash this every opportunity I get.

Still need to lockwire stuff and fit axle sliders. And the oil catch pan.

thats great news, another pit bike on the track!

what championships were you thinking of using, phoenix racing www.phoenix-minimoto-racing.co.uk i would suggest, the grids are going to huge this year, with 125 and 140cc classes available, there's also a few bsb riders in there as well...

if you want any info on pit bike supermoto racing check out

Here's mine at present Very Happy
Belive it or not this is the reassembly stage.

I've got a beautiful set of brand new wheels, but the front wheel needs a disc with 4 holes, whereas my original one only has 3. So it's either buy a new disk or just stick the smoto tyres on my old gold wheels. Not sure.

Yeah, was planning phoenix.

I'm not a stalker by any stretch of the imagination, but I do like following your builds and exploits so much so that I still keep typing MZ into eBay for a bike to hack and chop up.

Whats involved in this 'Phoenix' lark then, where, how much what is it, blah blah blah?

Haha, stalk all you like!

I'll be blogging the pitbike on gaz-racing just as much as I did the MZ, bandit and TZR rebuilds.

Come race a pitbike with me. That thing cost me £250, and should at least be competitive.

Phoenix racing run the british pit bike supermoto championships and also GP50 and Gp70 road racing classes

there website is www.phoenix-minimoto-racing.co.uk

Entry costs are around £35 no licence required just phone them up get memberships and race!

there are around 12 rounds per year up and down the country

i would phone them and ask for an info pack, i've raced there for many years, its a great atmosphere and some of the riders are top notch, we had 2 BSB riders in the pit bike class at the last meeting,

Smile

Hah, love the one guy doing foot-out.

I got my Sava MC20s on yesterday. Will be a while before I get out racing it though. Will hopefully get to a night at cheddar or hullavington in the coming months though.

Will need to get one of those bike racks for my car though. Not got a spare £60 atm.
