Over the summer, I went to service my bike and discovered my air filter was full of pea nuts!! and small bits of sponge, obviously mice had been preparing to hibernate in there. I use the bike 2-3 days a week at least, so weather they were in there at times or not is any bodys geuss. Any way mice traps out and 3 dead mice later I thought no more of it. Yesterday however I went to fit a K and N, and the little fuckers had been stashing there nuts again!!!! last night caught 2 more mice. The bikes kept in a tidy garage, bikes got a nice warm blanket over it, what more can I do, Im wondering if I should cover the air intake with some kinda mesh??

Any one else had similar experiences, if not it may be worth checking!

1) remove air filter
2) wait overnight
3) start the bike and give it a hand full...
4) clean mice brains off of garage wall Laughing

Put down poison, more traps, till you kill them all.
Or do as the post above, only ever find dead bugs and stuff in filters so far.

Ill probably just go for the more traps and poison option! Wouldnt fancy the risk of damaging me engine, by rotten mopuse carcases! Thanks for the support though. Just need a nice day to see if theres any obvious difference using the kandN now

Wotcha.

Just think how lucky you were.
Elephants also like to eat peanuts.

I dread to think what would have happened if Jumbo and friends decided to hide in there Mr. Green

You can try securing your garage a bit better to stop them coming in in the first place.

I used to get mice in my garage aswell. They can crawl through the tiniest of gaps.. In my case it was the gap between the garage door and the floor. I bought some of the draft excluders for doors( Bristle type) and screwed them on the bottom of the garage door.. and now no more mice Thumbs Up

Apparently he'd rather go for head-count instead of simply making them move out & stay away... Rolling Eyes

Leave the bike ticking-over in the shed all night. They won't be able to get comfy...

Mine just had dead leaves and a spider in it.

Would probably run a mile if I saw a mouse in there after I took the cover of Shocked Mr. Green

My garage was built some time in the late 17th centuary, has 3 down stairs rooms and an upstairs and a chimney big enough to live in, so making it totally secure would cost about as much as building a house, tghink Ill try the moth balls and loads more traps method. No more mice today anyway, so x fingers.

Im keeping a look out for Elephants as well!
