I have been having a heated debate with a few people about this so i wondered what you guys what thought.

I personally thought that the Hornet was a chunky bike and must be rather difficult for a girl to pull around (not saying that we are weaklings) but what do you guys think?

I wouldn't think of it as a feminine bike. But then again I have one so I wouldn't. People often underestimate the fun you can have on them though.

erm its 180 kilos dry , + 5 kilos for oil + 15 kilos for petrol + 2 kilos for fork oil + 5 kilos for coolant = 207kilos , comparatively light.

That said I've known completely anedotally of course alot of women who bat for their own side to own them , I can name probably 10 such women and one predator type, but thats a story for another time.

I'd say it's pretty unisex as far as bikes go.

Best bikes ever
not that i am biased. Smile

197kg is the listed kerb weight i think
i assume kerb weight is the "ready to go" weight, although that may not include petrol

Nope its my best guess because:

Petrol is lighter than water .8kg/litre

Oil is heavier than water,

But since you have oil and petrol it sort of evens itself out.

Coolant is also slightly heavier due to the antifreeze gunk in it. 1.05kilos/litre at a guess

and I've assumed 1litre of pure water = 1kilo . should be pretty close.

No, you have a baby hornet Very Happy (which is actually quite fun and I renounce anything bad I've ever said about it).

I like the hornet 600, Deanoet has a really nice one Thumbs Up

I wouldn't like to run out of petrol and push it put it that way. Although it great once it gets moving and quite easy to waddle about on for short distances.

If you post up a pic of yourself in a bikini, me and the guys and some of the girls will happily tell you if your physique looks in the shape required to tell a Hornet who is boss Thumbs Up

Wonder if she'll buy that

It could be 'Heavy Oil' though.... Shifty

"Heavy oil is a type of crude oil which is very viscous and does not flow easily. The common characteristic properties are high specific"

He will require a theodolite and a guy with a marker pole to stand at one end of them.
