I'm sick of all this enviromental nonsense, too much CO2? Plant more trees, they love the stuff.

Jesus, is anyone wet enough to suport that?

Obviously not on this forum of course, but I'm fairly sure nobody I know would be in favour of such draconian pansyness.

They'll ban us from breathing soon. We exhale carbon dioxide, you know...

I also like the way he says "nobody needs a car which does 10-15mpg" but then wants all cars that do under 35 to be banned.

I know it's slightly off topic but after seeing what this new Low Emissions Zone is all about i have to rant.

What i find really stupid is that they've just opened it in Greater London and at the same time are talking about building another runway at Heathrow. Rolling Eyes

What i'd love to know, is what are the filt... sorry Government going to be doing with the £200 daily charge they're stealing from businesses?

It's almost as stupid as telling everyone to switch to energy saving light bulbs whilst flying all over the fucking place on the back of the tax payer.

So you not in favor of banning cars then..... Embarassed Laughing

100% behind this idea, if it gets rid of a lot of the posing tractors off the roads. Life will be so much safer for us on bikes Mr. Green

No way. I'm a petrol head so car, bike or other is fine with me. I'm sure others on here feel the same.

They should ban anything that does over 35 miles to the gallon IMO.

I'm still planning on getting a classic car and running it on Leaded 4 star as my local garage sells it.

Might drive round London in it.

Yup. Right. Soo.... what about the people that kinda need inefficient, horrible, nasty, 4x4s then? People like farmers, I know the Dartmoor rescue lot use a handfull of old land rovers and a new jeep- all probably hopelessly inefficient, but what will they replace them with when they wear out, bloody toyota Priusesses?
Evil or Very Mad
Just another bloody stupid idea.

I honestly don't get why so much time money and effort is wasted on this global warming stuff, I've seen so much scientific evidence that proves we are just a blip on the radar that just really shows how much of a waste of time this whole thing is.

The only reason it is accelerating faster is we have cut down far far far too many trees.. solution.. plant more.

Cutting back our carbon emissions won't help that much as a singular volcano eruption does more than we ever did.

I do wonder what the case would be if people didn't waste time and money making their car slightly more efficient and instead planted trees with the money.. trees take carbon emissions and turn them into oxygen. Simple solution to a natural occurring problem..

But of course that solution will never be taken on board as there is far to much money to be made with global warming scaremongering.

The trees is more of a land issue, as a species we are sprawling all over the planet and have an ever growing hunger for territory.

Personally I think that boasting about how little fuel economy you are getting is just another way of telling the world you have a small penis and are insecure about it. Mr. Green

My question is how many Chelsea tractors do you see on the roads? And now how many will actually ever be offroad?

My personal feeling is I don't much care, sooner or later the fuel WILL run out. Cars with shitty gas mileage will just hasten the day.

In the meantime I'll be saving for my Diesel Royal Enfield with a Biodeisel conversion. Thumbs Up

How can you tell how much petrol your bike uses?
I play on mine, not worry about petrol.

true, true , entrophomorphic global warming (which is what they call man made global warming these days to specifically point blame) , infact any global warming can be stopped tomorrow if we wanted to, but not through cuts etc.

But by going to the dead zone in the pacific which is a low oxygen area of the ocean, and dropping several million tons of iron oxide , which sort of causes the eutrophication effect we see in ponds when fertilisers get into it, algae grow and go nuts absorbing tons of C02 as it grows.

In the dead zone it dies quickly though due to lack of food and oxygen and sinks to the ocean floor,

repeat as often as needed, easy (no fish to kill there so its viable)

but Hetz's explaination is much more plausible in that the elites see what is happening ie a greater competition for scarce(r) resources and thus they seek to preserve it for themselves.

Which is why congestion charges are so popular £10 a day for a wealthy person is nothing , to me and you it can be 10-20% of your wages per day depending on your job, and thus all the poor people are kept off the roads preserving them for the use of the elite. (note this theory isn't perfect though in that many of the elite rely upon the poor to keep them rich and if the poor get too poor they also start to become poor).
