Since my last computer broke from a combination of virus' and my boots, I have lost my CV, I cant remember what was on it, though it was truthful.

I am inspired by some peoples comments about maybe being a bit economical with the truth on a CV.

Can anyone show me a template or something helpful to put another CV together?

Cheers

Andy

id be wary being economical with the truth on a cv. my mrs did this and her company used an external firm to confirm her grades/qualifications which surprizingly enough came back different to what she had written! i dont know how they did it with the data protection act etc but they did and she got in the shit!
This is a large office based firm so i dont know if you line of work may be more relaxed, i dont know what you do!

By 'economical' I don't think anyone means inventing qualifications.
It just means maybe bragging a bit.

Rather than saying
Quote:
I worked at Tesco stacking shelves

, say
Quote:
My planning and organisational skills have improved since I was made responsible for product rotation and ensuring that customers always had access to the products they wanted. If any customers had problems I went to great lengths to accommodate their wishes

I'm not an expert, so my example above might not sound too great, but in my eyes its an improvement over just stating what you did blankly.

You can spruce up what you may see as a nothing job. If you pick out the key skills that you used, then you can dwell on them and highlight the positives.
So think of all the jobs you have done and concentrate on the positive skills you required to complete them.
