To be fair, I was sceptical (possibly missing the target for the stereotype I was assigning to the organiser Smile ) about the one held in 2007, but they did manage to get quite a lot of people together.

Now that lots more people are getting into getting muddy (and I've found out I can handle gentle green lanes at the mo), I reckon there's definite scope for organising a muddy contigent.

If this does go ahead and I can attend, I'd be happy to put a little organisation effort into a muddy side.
However, I personally think it'd have to be somewhere central-ish. As we can see, people seem to want either end and some may not come if it's central; but I bet those voting CCornwall won't turn up to Scotland and visa-versa.

What routes could we do that are central?

did you say muddy? Thumbs Up Smile

What about the people who want to attend a ride-out but don't want to get muddy?

I suspect they would attend the main ride-out being planned, then follow the people that leave towards the road, rather than those leaving in the direction of a swamp Smile.

Looks like I won't be able to make it as I have a new job and only allowed 2 weeks off between April & September and I am going to Tenerife with my kids in May for 2 weeks.

A bit late, but...
Gettin' dirty is definitely the way forward Smile...

I don't know of any specific routes, but with some OS maps, I'm sure appropriate areas could be found without too much hassle.

Once i get a trail bike (any time now) Very Happy I'd certainly be up for something like that, maybe find some local trails in which ever location that is decided! Thumbs Up

First i need to get more experience at off roading! Rolling Eyes

*Wishes he got a Trail bike*

The muddy route sounds fantastic. Shame I bought an ER5. I really love off-roading.

I'd go to a Cornwall one. I doubt my 125 would make it to Scotland. On or off road, I'm easy.

Should have a big bike by August, and if it is the MT500 (As I am hoping), I should be able to do a bit of off roading!

(something along the lines of this:

Ah, but Scotland Hotel is more than Cornwall Hotel, meaning more people want to go to Scotland overall.

lol.

I'll see how this Wales trip goes first then I might look into a long distance ride to Cornwall.

Wouldn't like to do it on my own though.

I may be able to do it with you if I get a bike in time, though won't be breaking any speed records.
