Ok, not something I am angry with, just thought I would post the news link & some pics I took myself this morning (I live 3 miles away from where the ferry is)

its a passenger ferry not a container ship , if i was a container ship there'd be 1000s of looters there already , erm looting.

It is a lorry ferry, not really a passenger ferry.

I was just saying to Little Miss this morning that I'd like to go and see that - Heysham and Blackpool are a little far for me to pop up for a gander though!

Interesting pics - although I think you need a better phone or camera!

The river dance left for haysham from the port of WARRENPOINT <<my town>> lol. I've seen that boat loads of times makes it a bit cool now shes on the news lol.

They have updated the news report, there is some more decent video on there from RNLI & others.
The ferry is still there and it looks really creepy seeing the outline of it & the white top part just lying there off the prom. I took my daughter to see it tonight.
Think they have said it will be there a while, luckily no one was seriously injured and it is just a salvage operation.

Word on the grapevine is that the wave that hit it was around 80 feet high. No bloody wonder it listed, it's lucky it stayed afloat.

Conditions on the Irish Sea last night were truly atrocious, hurricane force winds and 30 foot waves.

The Search and Rescue Crews, RNLI, RAF and Royal Navy once again acted with extreme courage and professionalism and deserve the highest praise.
