Is it me, or has there been a noticeable increase in the number of boats that have got into trouble around the British coast?

The ones that spring to mind most recently are:

Damaged ship off Land's End, towed to Falmouth.
Trawler near Scotland hits island/rocks.
Ferry beached nr Blackpool.
Container ship of timber sinks in English Channel.

There were a couple late last year too. Noteably the container ship with all them BMW bikes washed up on shore.

Seems like a bad year for sea cargo!!

I dunno, they sail about as though they own the seas and then go and crash it and cause unwanted pollution, not to mention the strain on valuable public resources. BAN THE LOT OF THEM!

Ban them.

Or make the boat test harder.

Mind you, those rogue waves are causing loads of bother. If only the police could see them, they would get a stern talking to and maybe, just maybe, an asbo. But only if they were really naughty......
