I have always been a fan of the one make series particularly if they are policed and well run, they offer a stage to showcase a riders talents without the ‘cheque book’ effect of other more open Championships. The ACU Suzuki Cup one make series is on again for 2008, as last year there is a great package for the novice rider right up to the seasoned racer. If I had not got so much on already this season I might have had a go myself!
For £10,970.21 plus VAT (£12,890 inc VAT) you get:
A new race ready 2008 GSX-R600
All entries for the season
A supply of Dunlop tyres per round
Entry fees are covered
Full protective clothing is supplied by Dainese (helmet, boots, gloves, leathers and back protector)
A transponder
In todays world I think that represents good value for money for a complete, competetive years racing.
Also there will be on the day coaching from two old lags of the Superbike World John Reynolds and Matt Llewellyn will be on hand to give advice and support.
10 rounds with two of them at the Moto GP and the rest spread around Brands Hatch, Pembrey, Castle Combe, Anglesey, and Cadwell Park there is plenty of variety for you.
There are various prizes throughout the year cash and tyres with a huge carrot at the end for the winner – a Suzuki GSXR1000 Superstock machine, and for the best under 25 rider a Suzuki GSXR600!
