Well i got up at 5am yesterday and decided that i need some time off work, so i called in sick and went back to bed.

When i woke at around 9.30am i looked out of the window to see a bright sunny day just starting, and decided to go for a ride.

I donned my leather jeans, boots and textile jacket and set off to unleash the beast from its cell, i wheeled it out pushed the starter button and listened to it kick into life.

Mmmmmmmmm the smell of unburnt fuel coming from the exhaust is so intoxicating.

Anyway off i went with no where special to go but man did i enjoy every moment of it, as i had my dark visor on i snuck past work to spy on all my poor colleagues that went to work and had a little chuckle to myself as i did.

I was only out for about 2 hours but.....wow. It felt so much better to be out enjoying the good weather then to be at work.

All in all it was i very joyfull day apart from when i stupidly changed down a gear instead of up when going round a bend, now that was a brown trousers moment.

So now my question is "why does it feel better to ride when your supposed to be at work?"

I sooo very nearly did the same myself yesterday as I just simply fancied a bit of a ride. So I just took a slight detour round some local twisties instead and blamed the traffic for being late.

Cos they get to do it, but you work your hands off for nothing and its good to take a break once in a while.

and you woder why this country is going to the dogs with every Polishman and his dog comming here to fill jobs that others are too busy being " sick " from.
Sickies cause extra stress to those you work with ( or not in your case ) Puts extra cost on the goods or sevice you produce. So your little jaunt has cost ME money is some form. Whether it is actual cost or diverted cost as someone else will want paying extra to pay for the costs that have increased due to your " Sickie".

But loads will jump to your defence but then slag off this country and the cost of things or the poor service.

But at least you " Stuck it to the man" and enjoyed your ride.

No, can't afford either of them as someone was off pulling a sickie so making them cost even more money to the general population.

If you do, do you think a dark visor is going to disguise the bike..... Laughing Karma

Just remember when you pull a sickie and go for a ride be very careful, would be mighty hard to explain why you ended up in hospital with crash injuries while laid in bed sick......

Well skudd i would argue with you but i cant be bothered.

And all our office staff that actually care if your not in don't show their face to the outside world during the day so i should be quite safe (i think)

Oh yeah, cause taking the odd sick day really affects the infrastructure of this country. We need to follow the SSSR's model! No days off; subbotniks; exile for dissidents! Then we will truly be efficient and nobody will have to queue for 3 hours for a loaf of bread or anything.
