Usually, there's not alot wrong with stock and to my eye, you certainly aren't improving anything by fitting an ill-coloured screen. In most cases, I think you're actually making it worse.

Ditto coloured bolts, or micro-ill-fitting indicators. Just look wrong and only make your bike 'stand out' (is that what you're trying to achieve) for all the wrong reasons.

I see a pretty early R6 in the best colours. No reason to detract from that fact with colourful 'modifications'.

Black Smile

Make the wheels dirtier and it'll look good.

I do want to change the wheels when pennies are available but I aren't tempted by black or blue wheels. Mainly because I do want to keep it pretty standard looking but don't want it to look like every other.

Some good comments though. Thumbs Up

Just to explain, the iridium one came with the bike and the black one was free. Just thought I'd try it out of interest to see if it looked better. But a clear Double bubble is very tempting now.

I do have a set of new standard bolts (fairing & screen) to fit but I'm waiting until I get a new headlight fairing fitted before chucking them on. I ain't a fan of any indicators other than the standard ones apart from rear intergrated one's. Anything else does make any bike look tacky. Thumbs Up

I'd consider an under tray and some mirrors.

Got one from a newer model, just need the brake lights to fit to it.

Pfft. Mirror blanks will look better. Can't see anything with mirrors anyhow, apart from my elbows.

Get smaller elbows. Or those mirror extenders for the car that you use when you tow caravans... Oh, and the black screen definately looks better.

If they're the same as my R6's, they're pretty good for a sportsbike when adjusted correctly.

I rode my CB1 without mirrors - never again. I'm pretty sure if I'd had mirrors I'd have noticed that the CBR600 following me back in August was actually a Copper taking notes on a thesis I was practicing at the time; How to safely overtake despite Double White Lines.

Laughing Oh dear!

I've had the opinion for a long time though that mirrors make you paranoid. I found myself constantly checking them worrying if the vehicle behind was a copper. Isn't really much of a difference to me to check over my shoulder now and then. At the end of the day a copper doesn't have to be right behind you in close enough range for you to notice in your mirrors, to see you up to mischeif.

Call it what you want. I tend to refer to it as awareness. And the more aware I am about a situation, the better. Even though I carry out life savers when need be, a quick glance in my mirrors to see what's behind keeps my eyes on the road longer.
