I would like to know, just for the sake of knowing How many of you clutche's the bike B4 a wheelie and who double clutche's.
I find double clutching to get you to that utmost balancing point.

I am the only school boy with a 125 that is willing to do a wheelie.
I will post some pics this afternoon my dad agreed to take a few pics and maybe a video clip. Razz

You can do wheelies on just about all bikes, (including push bikes)
Power is not the only factor when 'gettin it up'(excuse the expression), alot of it also comes down to balence...basically the methods used to do a wheely come down to the type of bike it is. On an nsr you would have to try and find the balance point or summit. Maybe someone else with more of a clue can help you more Smile

While the power its self doesn't matter, the power to weight ratio /does/ matter, as does the wheel base and weight distribution.
A restricted NSR is aprticularly bad bike for wheelies because it's fairly heavy for it's power and has a longish wheel base... a 4 sstroke 125 will have a biger range, a hsorter wheel base and probably be about 30kg less.

On my (semi) restricted NSR the best I got was standing on the back pegs, revving it to the red line then dumping the clutch while trying to give a quick pull on the bars... this only resulted in the front wheel coming up a bit under a metre... though at around 15st I won't exactly be helping either.
If you could get it to the balance point and had the skill to keep it there then fair enough... but I doubt there's many people in the UK that are that skilled.

A mate's c90 used to wheelie really easily... while it didn't have much power the much shorter wheel base helps alot.

Nope, but it would wheelie easier with a smaller rear sprocket.

Sorry I was a bit stoned when I wrote that, a smaller front sprocket or larger rear will help wheelies, ignore what I said before Embarassed Laughing

hehe...I wondered what you were on about. So what's the standard rear sprocket size on the NSR? I think the Mito is 38 teeth, NSR the same?

If you're any good at riding youll be able to wheelie a standard d-restricted NSR for quite a distance. Its all about going that bit further and feeling the balancing point.
If you do increase the rear sprocet youll find the bike will lunge up easier but hit red-line and lose all power alot earlier. Leave the bike d-restricted but standard, and practice on an industrial estate somewhere.

best ive done was when i was racing a car off the lights, reved high, let the clutch out a bit then dropped it the front wheel whent straight up to about 3-4feet off the road, i managed to get the bike in to second still with the front wheel up but then it came down, i must of cleared about 20feet at around 30mph, it was an accident though and all attempts to do it since have ended in imbarisment and near stalls lol
