What type of 50cc bikes are generally the cheapest to insure? e.g enduro, sports replica ect.

As I have just been quoted 2.5 grand for a derbi senda which is ridiculous. So i would like to know which are usually cheapest before i buy a bike.

Also how much should i expect to pay for TPO OR FT&TP, for a 16 year old

To list a few:

gocompare
moneysupermarket
confused.com

all compare a few insurers at the same time

Once you have a short list ring the second cheapest and say you can get it for xxx amount, can they beat it
and keep going till they say they cant beat it

Try MCE as well, i am with them and they are nice and cheap

£2500? That's ridiculous.

Try the usual 50cc insurers, such as MCE and the blokes your bike dealership force upon you.

Both me and my friend have insured our Peugeot Speedfight for £250 with MCE. We got TPF&T. I've also heard that https://www.50to125.com/ are quite cheap aswell.

Insurance on the RS50 was £280 TPF&T

On the Derbi Senda it was £340 (with one ongoing claim).

Enduro style bikes have higher TPF&T quotes because of the ability for chavs to nick them and ride across fields.

When I had my 50 i found MCE to be the cheapest and now H&R insurance for the 125. If you get a good quote online always give them a call and sometimes they slash it in half just like that

If I ever get a quote off an insurance company I give my old High school address and a fake name Laughing I don't want no post asking me to buy insurance.

And the fact the bike is worth £600 is something special?

You're not insured for the cost of your vehicle, you're insured for the potential costs you and your vehicle could possibly cause.
