How tight are boots supposed to fit?
My right boot is tight on my right foot, and my big toe is a little compressed/squeezed at the end of the boot.
My left boot fits my big toe better, and is comfortable to walk around in, altho it is definately a close fit.

Is this the right pair of boots for me?

(Obviously we can deduce my right foot is sliiightly larger/longer than my left one...)

Thumbs Up ?
Thumbs Down ?

If they are uncomfortable, then I would say they are too small.

If you've got any kind of pressure they won't only hurt when you walk in them they'll also hurt on longer rides. My pair of Sidis (size 13) caused a very aggravating pain in my big toe after an hour of riding or so, even though they were a comfortable fit everywhere else.

My new size-12 Dainese have bags of room and haven't given me any jip whatsoever, even after walking around town in them for a couple of hours. Go for zero pressure-points if you want pain-free walking & riding.

I agree with the above boots must be comfortable, try them on with the thickest pair of socks you will wear (i.e. your winter pair). If one boot ends up a bit looser than the other slip an extra insole in under the existing one. Thumbs Up

Remeber to judge the fit when you're on the bike - my sidis aren't perfect for walking around in but when I'm riding they are as comfy as I could wish for.

Can't help with the size 14 boots, as I'm looking for size 2 boots! BUT i know that alpinestars boots are made for wider feet compared to sidi if you're looking for sports type boots....

Try getgeared.co.uk . I bought a pair of cruiser boots and they arrived within a few days. The left boot is really tight to get on but once I have them on they're really comfy. Pretty cheap too.

I'm the same size mate, I have just bought Alpinestars SMX4 WP for £130 at the London Motorcycle show they are great, Before that I had Oxtar TCS they where £70 on ebay and where pretty good.

I take a size 49 which is 13.5, you might want a 50 try them on before you buy mind, best bet is a show lots of stand and cheaper boots.
