I've been mulling about today doing not much fiddling with my XR getting it ready for a ride tomorrow.

As I was putting it away I looked to the back of the garage and saw my poor much maligned Ninja just sitting there as it has been since November, unused and a bit forgotten sadly.

Thought I'd start her up just to see if it would fire really. Key in and turned and the dash did it's little dance, button down and she barked into life as if I'd been riding her yesterday.

Then I gave the throttle a little twist. FOOK. I'd forgotten how light and precise sports bikes are. The revs shot up with a precision that made the XR seem like a tractor. You could tell that they are completely different breeds.

I've gone from thinking about selling the Ninja and not at all interested in riding it to being excited about swinging my leg over once the weather warms up a bit.

The Ninja will stay as a occasional hooligan toy for sunny summer days and the XR will serve me when the weather isn't great.

I've gone from uninterested back to excited about riding it again, a feeling like when I first bought her. It's like hooking up with an old girlfriend but better Laughing

With Spring coming up fast it's going to be a good biking year Thumbs Up Very Happy

Sorry for the ramble.

I got that when i rode scotts zx6, all the offroading made me confident, quickly did a rolling burnout for a good hundred meters to scrub in the new rear.

Currently trying to get the TLR back on't road.

Nice one Joe. I'm truly jealous. With the weather changing and all the fwr's out and about in Brighton, I've been thinking about selling my daughter (I could make another one after all... Wink )to pay for a gsxr750.
