Mushy.

I have been trawling around you tube this morning, and listening to music.

I got thinking about this song but couldn't remember the name, it always makes go a bit soft inside, makes me a bit sad and brings back memories that make me smile to myself, you know stuff you never tell people as they wouldn't really get it. I found the song anyway and had a listen and it still had the same effect, its called I was only joking, by Rod Stewart.

I was just wondering if any one else on has certain songs that affect them in that way?

And what they are.

Yes I do realise that my choice of song may not be the coolest, but I didn't really choose it.

I know that song, Guv.
Its really nice.

Know what you mean, though: you don't choose the songs, they choose themselves.

I'm so old, my list is WAY too long to post here, LOL.

First song that comes to my head is Motorcycle Boy - As The Rush Comes. First had it on cd when i passed my driving test so it always makes me remember of long endless drives along the coast with the sun setting in the distance, being free and clear and all that soppy bollocks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJoVAo-guZQ

Ignore the video though I dunno what that's about Razz

Hellkat Chris Isaak for me also there.

Sinead O conor nothing compares to you makes me a bit sad.

I don't go much for soppy songs though. I like uplifting or them songs like they are soundtracks of a certain time in your life or ones i just daydream up.

Goose pimple tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEMYqFj0oWw Happiness in one song! from kevin& perry

The song in the background of this also. Only the MC'ing is awful.

'Love and Affection' by Joan Armatrading. Thumbs Up

And also anything from Bill Laswell's 'Jazzonia' album because it was on when I was hooking up with my first girlfriend and brings back fond memories, but I'm sure you didn't want to know that.

Elton John - Are you ready for love, was on the radio at the time so puts me back in Cornwall on holiday 5 years ago in Hayle 'cruising' to the bank with my dad in the car in between being at the beach, open sea and sunny blaring down but with a nice wind. Cool

Rod Stewart - Faith of the Heart, to me an awesome inspirational song and also is The (new) Enterprise theme tune. Smile

KT Tunstall - Other side of the world, Cos....
