I had the rear wheel off my xr before it went to the scrap heaven in the sky..
Very easy to work on, and being relatively new they tend to have less corrosion.
You shouldnt have any problems really, just make sure the slot on the drum brake assembly is slotted into position on the stud inside the swingarm before you do your chain adjustment and tighten everything back up. ____________________ Previously; Honda XR125 - Yamaha DT125r - Aprilia Rs125 - Suzuki GS500e, Currently; Kawasaki ZX6R + ZX10R

Whitechameleon,
When you say you have broken the valve, do you mean you have torn the valve from the tube, or just damaged the valve core and it now leaks ?
If it's just the core that's damaged you can unscrew the centre and replace it with a new one
All the best. |

Thanks for the responses guys.
Got wheel off a piece of pi$$ tonight, then..... tried to remove the tyre!!
Holy $hit!! That mutha isn't coming off there with some tyre levers easily. I'm a pushbike mechanic part time and have changed 100's of tyres and yes, i know these are much bigger, but jesus wasn't expecting that!
Now the wheel's out i'll take it to the bike shop tomorrow! |
