Well a week or so ago, I managed to sell my bike to a chap in Auckland, which meant that the bike would be taken up there by a bike moving company.

So I decided to clean my bike for one last time before they came to pick it up. Overall, it took me 3 days to clean and polish the bike but I put my all in to every second of it, knowing that it would be 'The Last Clean'.

K, so first off, I pulled off all the fairings to clean the engine casing, clocks and headlights etc.

Very thorough, naturally:

I clean my teeth every day! Mr. Green :

This is a joke picture BTW, I do not clean my sprockets, I am not Craig.

Then I gave the fairings a good clean and polish and put them back on, before giving them another quick polish.

Sharing a moment:

We had some good times.

And then:

As the man closed the doors on my bike for the last time, my dad said, "There goes Steph's race bike..." Thanks Dad, that made me feel loads better.

Good bye Viffer, you were awesome to me. Even when we stripped you of your pretty bits and soldered your sparkles in an attempt to ressurect you when it turns out the only reason you weren't catching was because the killswitch had been bumped. You carried me around that track day on those god awful Shinko tyres and let me catch up on the short straights using your OM NOM V4. There was never any real fault with you. Sure, your fan switch packed up and you kept wetting your plugs but we got there in the end.

Sigh.

Crying or Very sad

Same feeling everytime i've sold a bike i've had as a long termer. Sucks but you will get another bike to help replace the lost feeling.
Whats the next bike?

Gorgeous bike. Those colours are timeless, spot on. Thumbs Up

If you liked that bike enough to give it one last clean, you will miss it.

Unless you're buying an RC30 of course.

It looks like its going to a good home, and going to be ridden.

When my VFR went, they loaded her up on the trailer, i counted the money, i shared a moment and turned to walk away. Then i heard a CRUNCH!....they didnt tie her in properly. Sad Mugs
