Just thought it would be nice to dedicate a thread to an obvious favorite of the forum, and to any biker with any sense really.

Only rules are about posting is that all VFR's posted you have to have owned.

Good bike only ruined by its lack of ground clearance!

I found most 400s have a real a lack of ground clearence, you really do need rearsets on a trackday or you will have no pegs left.
Also they are more uncomfortable to ride if you are over 5ft10 then a Ducati.

I agree - even becomes an issue on the road when you get cocky enough. Suspension refresh and some rearsets come recomended.

Nice bikes mind.

I've always liked the sports 400's but they're all so damn small. The VFR is definitely a lovely bike tho, especially in the blue/white/red colours.

The VFR is particuarly bad, the CBR4 with rearsets was superb on track, the VFR with rearsets still had the pegs scraping, even on the road.

Awesome bikes, had mine from 2001>2003 and never failed me over 20,000miles, even after those years it still looked new.

Following Killa's disclaimer, I don't think Spike-Alike can post his ZXR pics here.

Nah, you could find one that's not much of a dog and make it pretty, might not cost as much as a mint/non-fooked one.

The one at the top in my first post was a little under 2K, and it wasn't far off perfect.
I sold her a year later for 2.5K

It`s still possible to get a decent one for under £1k, i paid £900 for a half decent one, it`s not perfect but shouldn`t cost a mortgage to get right. They come up from time to time like that. This is the only pic i have of it at the moment, i`ll do some when i put it back together, fairings etc.Very Happy Laughing -Jockey.

Looking at the same bike side by side (if that makes any logical sense at all) I think that the lines and look of the Konica were better and excite my trouser department more.

I have similar thoughts to the kits they provide.

They look okay side-on or rear 3/4s, but other than that, disproportionate, and from 'other angles' - pretty ugly. It's almost as if they've been designed in 2D (I'm guessing they tried to mimic "flat" photos of RCVs). A 400cc CBR-RR they are not.

Don't get me started on their build quality/finish....

IMO of course
