My first off was on my 50cc monkey bike, up to a roundabout, some git didn't give way like he was supposed to and it was snowing... cue me braking and falling off. I was very, very shaky, the bloke/nobody stopped, I just hauled my slightly dented bike up and carried on, luckily I was only 2 mins from home. Took me ages to stop shaking, was very nervous the next time I got on it, took me a few days of proper 50cc granny riding, then I was fine. Thumbs Up
Second time was when I came off the back of my now ex's ts250 on a roundabout, that hurt like hell, and shook me up, but again, after a day or two I was back to my normal riding self!
Don't worry too much, just learn from your mistake, you aren't going to fall off on every icy corner, so just ride safely.

bit gutted about my bike,
worrying how much id hurt myself,
worrting how much itd cost me to repair damages.
bit shaken up, even more so riding home with bent handle bars and nearly crashing again lol

Like i just came in earlier came up to a corner, and it was quite cold/icy turned the corner and gave it a bit of throttle into the corner, and the backwheel ws just spinning up whilst moving, felt really weird lol

He was looking for a fight till my uncle came round the corner!

I was in hospital after my first off and was mainly concentrating on the searing pain in my arm and neck.

Took me a while to get back on a bike again, my mate offered me a ride after I got out, and it took me ages to get out of 2nd Embarassed

first time i ever came of a bike i was riding a rental in india - so i blame the bike Smile

was in middle of nowhere so had to get back on and get back, but it definately put me off renting another one for a bit.

since have come of a couple of times and just try to get back on and work out why i did. im on on a little cg so its not too bad, im dreading my first "big" off which sounds negative but is statistically likely i suppose

First was being hit by a drink driver a couple weeks after i got my full licence. Couldnt ride for like 6-7 months due to injuries sustained. As soon as i was fit enough to ride i hired a bike and started riding about again but obviously with a smidge of caution. Few days later and a blast over to the lakes with some more experienced riders i got probably around 80% of my confidence back. I high sided several weeks ago and just got up and got back onto the bike. Wasn't that bothered, other than a bruised bike and ego. Best thing to do is just get back up and get riding again.

Broke bones in my wrist. It was 6 or 7 weeks before I was able to ride again by which time I had the fear.

I knew it was coming though so I went pillion on the back of a mates bike while recovering and just worked through it until I was back upto speed again.

The only thing that will give you the confidence that you need to ride is to ride successfully. Just take it easy, a little bit at a time.

Probably quite fortunate in the fact my first off came over a year after I started riding. It was essentially a very stupid mistake (wet road, in a rush, fool breaking the 2 second rule). I washed out the front end braking from 40 and slid down the road. I was hardly hurt apart from a cracked rib and that wasn't really too debilitating, just annoying.

The only things that went through my mind was how annoyed I was that I'd damaged my bike and how I'd managed to be so stupid.

Wanted to ride straight away but I was too poor to buy the parts to get the bike mobile again. (It was before Christmas)

My first off was the same, i was on ice on a 50cc, but i was in a car park. Nobody saw it thank god but the back end slide out and i flew off back lol. I got up and didnt give a shit about my leg at all i didnt even realize i was injuryed untill i got home shaking lol. i was just bothered about the nasty scrates on the panel. My 2nd off was more serious with a woman pulling out while on my nsr 125. I had to get rushed to hostpital. All sorted now and its worked out for the best hehe. I havent been put off biking but i had been alot more alarted when aproaching juctions with cars waiting to put out

I've only been riding for 6 months and have fortunately not had an off YET. I almost came off one time when going around a blind corner in the pissing rain and went over a soaked manhole cover whilst about to come out of the corner. It caused both my front and rear wheels to slide out from under me almost causing me to go into oncoming traffic on my side but somehow managed to get the bike upright again before that happened.... I then pulled over shortly after and sat there shaking for a good 10 minutes trying to get over what had just happened lol. I now go a little wide around that corner so i miss that manhole cover and have thought about complaining to my local council about it as it is truely huuuuge and in a lethal position for any motorcyclist turning that corner as you just cant see it at all until you are ontop of it.

almost went head on with a landrover yesterday afternoon, in the lanes i know best been using them weekly for about 9 months and can hit the national speed limit, although now days i could do double the national speed limit through them although id never do that.

no matter how well you know the route theres always the chance of a real idiot poping up somewhere along the way.. i took a right hand turn only to be faced with a landrover coming straight at me in the middle of the road, she was doing about 60 and was on the phone.. ive always been very cautious on this corner because you can not see around it so i slowed down to about 50,she seen me at the last moment and steered almost crashing into the hedge row, it didt shake me up just made me very angry.

actually now thinking of becoming a track rider and a road user.. a broken leg would destroy my life style heavily..i love martial arts/gymnastics and so on.
