Out of order for them to be using a forklift instead of the grab...

For you Dragonfly. It's a video showing cattle that can't walk being lifted by forklift trucks, dragged by their hind legs, prodded with cattle prods and the final shot of a cow walking on it's hind knees.
The story is that the meat from this abattoir was recalled because any meat from 'non walking' cows has to be examined in more detail. As far as I know, the USA equivalent of the RSPCA is trying to get it closed down.

It saddens me to know that all over the world animal cruelty goes on and it will never stop. As i said i eat meat and enjoy it, but in our house we try to only buy meat that has come reputable sources, such as free range chickens, beef and pork from the butchers, which in turn came from the local abbotoir which i have been to a few times and only ever seen true proffessionilism as regards to the animal welfare.

Don't blame the abbotoir, blame the trend to get food as cheap as possible. Forcing the overheads to be scrutinised ruthlessly.

But for fuck sake don't go veggie, just get down your local butcher if it bothers you. But for my money domestic animals are not animals parse, domesticated just means bred for man's use. Yet i never see anyone give one solitary shit in the mass media about the mass collapse of fisheries worldwide, the dwindling shark populations, the inability to sustain even half the populations of whales it used to in certain areas and just general fucking up of a WILD system. Boo fucking hoo, some cows have bad conditions lets all switch to fish Rolling Eyes
