Girl in US who said she had a bomb

what do you all reckon of this girl who told airport security guards that she had a bomb?

According to the radio and some papers she said it three times when asked seriously. Who would be silly enough to do that? One of the papers quoted her father as saying she said it once but the police were being over zealous.

Well I don't know about that but I still think it was a silly thing to do.

Maybe she picked up her bags and asked:

"Does my bomb look big in this?" Laughing

seriously though what was going through her head?

She was putting her hand luggage through security and said:

"You want to be careful, I've got three bombs in there", and repeated it three times.

I don't blame the Americans one little bit, she wasted an awful lot of time, man power and created a scare that was totally unneccesary. In today's climate they cannot afford to ignore any threat, and as such she is being punished rightfully for her stupidity.

Well I reckon any custodial sentance for something like that is harsh, especially when you considor people who have actually been convicted of nasty crimes get off lighter.

That said, fair enough she should be named and shamed for doing somthing like that, but not Internationally. Somthing more befitting, like on the 'Ferret' - we have that here in Cardiff on S4C.

Being fined a resonable sum that she can actually pay I guess (not what they are asking) is ok too, you know for wasting time.

To take it any further though is not on, but then we all know how arrogant Americans can be.

I think she deserves to be put away. Maybe the silly little slapper won't do it again then will she. Honestly, she must be as thick as pig shite if she thought she could say that and get away with it. I wouldn't mind if our airport security was as strict, she would have probably been taken to the plane over here and pampered until she got her supposed bomb out of her bag.

Canada boarders/ airports are dodgy. They decided my Dad was running some dodgy business as he was flying there most weeks for a day or two, then back again, they thought he was working out there without a permit thing. Rolling Eyes
