I know its not easy at that weight but surely you would have got help before that or went on a diet, at the end of the day you can only help yourself and are responsible for what you put in your body.

Great knowing that someones house could have been burning down with poeple in it while he was getting his fat ass hoisted out of bed! and the NHS should not pay more money to get him a hoist! His can be helped but stapling his mouth shut. Other people who have genuine problems not caused by eating could do with hoists due to illness and age that cant be helped but make it easier for them.

An easy solution would be to stop bringing him food just water, eventually he'll have to start eating up his fat reserves to live, it will get to the point where he can start to move again and will then no longer need the fire crews.

Why is it that you can smoke, drink, ride fast bikes, shag and get a dose, but if you eat too much or have an eating disorder then you should be banned from living.

Yes he is too big, but after a certain size diets don't really work but things like stapling stomachs or ringing them is an easy solution but the NHS wont do it because they are too busy tearting the junkies.

Skudd did you ever see the ton woman on tv? she had her stomach stapled and died. Operation was to much for her heart and it comes with a lot of complications the surgery with really obese people. Its a big strain on the heart and lungs carrying all that.

There had to be someone looking after him though If he cant get up then ho did he get food and toilet?

Remember the other man who was on GMTV for a while he lost loads of weight, at the start he could hardly walk, after about a year on a diet he lots a lot! had to get his excess skin removed also. It can be done.

It is daft, and he shouldnt have let himself get that big, but now he is that big, he's gonna think he needs help if he cant manage to do things by himself. To let himself get that big he will have all sorts of dawn french style bulshit about it being his business how big he is and there being nothing wrong with being obese. You can only get that fat if you avoid thinking you are fat and that its a problem.

Carers arent really going to be willing to do that amount of physical lifting.

This is an extreme example but you get a lot with people using government resources because they have got themselves into a situation where they rely on them.

Hmm, unemployed. Joy. I was going to say simply demand payment for each frivolous callout. Private companies (especially student halls) get billed a ridiculously high amount for everytime someone burns some toast or forgets to stick a bag over the alarm when sparking a joint.

Also skudd, shining beacon though you are of counterproductive misinformed background sniping, its actually VERY hard to maintain that kind of weight and requires a massive intake of calories. Fat people (20+ stone) lose stones like normal dieters lose lb's, and thats why you always see the big fatty on tv going on about losing 10 stone in 2-3 months. Its a case of put down the fork.

I mean seriously, everyone who has a half normal metabolism and isn't keen on regularly exercise (as a hobby) has at somepoint slipped up and put on a stone or two. But when you can't get into 'normal' clothes, haven't seen your cock in months and everyone you see looks at you like a leper... how the fuck do you fail to clock that? I've got no bother with anyone overweight under 20 stone really (aslong as they don't try and chat me up ) but 20+ is just a pisstake. But i can let that slide, as i hate people meddling with my intake of substances (i get coke, they get cake... almost as much fun) citing 'my own protection'. But hes unemployed, ergo a drain on society anyway... to then have the temerity to think calling out the fire service to shuffle you about in bed because you can physically move yourself is ok... ?
