The only place i could see after an hour of looking which it fits is the battery breather. so i put it on that

just checking i put it on the right thing!

and oh yeah brought my bike on friday already done 200miles and it cost me £7.50 hahaha

thanks in advance

IMHO Battery breathers are usually made from clear piping, have a slash cut end to avoid clogging problems and an inline split at the connection end just in case the end does become clogged or the tube crushed as an additional safety feature to prevent gas pressure build up.

My guess is a carb overflow tube, but thats not to say a previous owner has replaced the battery breather with a piece of non-standard tubing, and that is what has come loose.

Is it a carb related pipe? Or a pipe from the radiator/coolant reserve bottle?

it 100% is not either of them as my engine is aircooled so no radiator or reserve bottle and my carb over flow pipe is still there.

so im guessing it has to be the battery breather?

Could be a tank breather, not sure if the CG has one though.

I will bet it has no effect on performance if you bung it in the bin. Slice the end open and lick it, if it tastes of sulphuric it is off the battery.
