I don't. Ohlin shock, and sorted forks are the one thing everything says is needed for that bike as the suspension is crap standard. The rest is just a bonus Razz Wink

Nice machine mate, you can't beat a 1000cc lump. The Suzuki engine is supposed to be a corker too. A carbon tax disk holder is an essential item though.

At least someone else said it before me... Yellow has never been the nicest of colours in the spectrum. Not only that, but in the Summer time it attracts flies like feces. So not only will there be the regular bug splatter, but Ste's new bike will look like a moving spider web.

Rolling Eyes Some of us like yellow. Razz

Yes, the insects may find it fascinating, but it also makes you highly visible which is never a bad thing given the ineptitude of most people on the road.

I'd take a mechanic with you when you go to look at it. I am a bit dubious about the 'airbox mod'. What the hell does that mean? Holes in it? Confused Also the fact someone has been pissing around with the front end doesn't fill me with confidence. Also, has it been jetted?

The thing that worries me is that he has now got a big V-Twin with Quill cans in bright yellow.

Not exactly a stealth bike is it? Laughing

/me suggests that Ste invests in a pair of Wolf quiet baffles.

https://www.wolfracing.co.uk/baffle.html

They won't make it road legal but it might stop it from setting off car alarms!

Normally a pair of loud cans isn't a problem, but a pair of loud cans on a 140 bhp bike in bright yellow, probably going some... Police Police Police

Yes officer?... Embarassed

TLR is fuel injected, so it'd be remapped not rejetted if it needed it. The airbox mod is nothing dire, it's done quite a lot, theres no hole but theres a flap in it that opens with increased air pressure, by jamming it open all the time it's supposed to improve low end power, so it can be put back easy.

Yes, but I've never disliked your bike in any form or manner. It has black you know! It evens it all out.

Must admit, it does help. Cool

I thought yellow was vile when I bought it, but it really does grow on you. I, of course, have subtle leathers and helmet. Ste's orange and black ones with a red lid may be a little harsher on the eye.

Noise isn't a problem. It's one of the advantages. And they're road legal cans anyway, but I plan on changing them for some nice race cans though Twisted Evil

I'm gonna get a 33bhp kit sorted, cos it is likely to attract a bit of Police Middle Finger Evil or Very Mad Middle Finger

Insurance should be about £50 more than the ZX6R. Engine braking on them is something I've already played with Korn. I had a test ride on one, and well, it's a lot more than the ZX6R. And this is a proper twin, unlike a FireStorm, so it's okay Razz

The airbox mod, ask Phoe said, is a common modifaction to them, as it is very restritive as standard. I have spoken with the shop where he had work done, and they have nowt bad to say about it.

The yellow is good Cool
