How long has it been since the men in white coats at honda have took a paintbrush to the nsr? The stylings been the same for years and years and now i think it looks really dated. Should it feature some sharper styling like its bigger brothers, CBR and fireblade.

TBH I'm not a great fan of the new Honda styling (don't like the headlights). IMHO the best styled new bike is the 2002 R1 <drools>

yea, I prefer the 'proper' fox eye lights.... and the new angular styling at the back/tank etc on the R1 looks better IMHO.

Its amazing how light it is as well- the blade's lighter than the CBR600!

The LED rear light on the R1's nice though. The R1 is definately classier (especially in silver). A bad thing about the blade is that it would be mistaken for a CBR6 cos they both come in that mint paint scheme.

Keen it ain't a bad thing the Blade being mistaken for a CBR6. For two reasons:-

A) Nowt wrong with a CBR6
B) If you overtake an R1 they think they've been had by a CBR6 Razz

I'm just keeping an eager eye on the new triumph factory. With new technology at their disposal I think they'll be able to push out some spankin bikes.
Mmmmmmm, Daytonaaaa.
Saw 2 200 Dayona's at a rally this weekend. Thankfully I got to ride one round the field. Damn near Gissed in me pantsa. It felt so good!
Bring on the 400's!!

Yeah afir point scooby- It would be nice to be on a CBR600 and have people mistake it for a blade though Smile

I just mentioned it cos I remember reading reviews of the GSX-R1000 where the writers complained about how it looks like the 600 and the 750. In case anyone's interested you can tell by the fork's:

600- forks normal
750- USD forks
1000- USD forks with a gold finish

I tell the GSXR's apart cos the 600 says 600 on, the 750 says 750 on, and the thou says ... errrr.... 1000 on if i remember correctly Razz

As well as the forks, the tailpiece is slightly different on each one.

Hi

Doubt it. They will probably fit the direct fuel injection system to it to get through emmisions tests. Down side is that the market for full power 125s is so small these days that I doubt ultimate performance will be far up the list of design considerations

All the best

Keith

Yeah the market for 125's is small, but the scooter boom over the last couple of years has created alot of new young riders who are gonna want to trade their mopeds in for a 33bhp bike eventually, so do you not reckon their could be a surge of small capacity bike sales in the near future?

I'm thinking, in the not too distant future of setting up a 125 and smaller spares company. there don't seem to be any around and I think it could be a massive niche in the market.
What do you guys think?

Sheffield. Depends on how thing go here but if I don't go abroad (or can afford it as well) I think it could be a money-maker. Have a shop but a website too.

Do you mean that you intend to manufacture the parts yourself?...or just provide some kind of repository?...or both?

Not manufacture!! LOL. Just specialise in sourcing 125 parts. Hopefully get some people who know about 125's to work there. Not much more frustrating than a wrench monkey who know's jack about any bike smaller than a 700.
