This is for my mate not me.

What would be the realistic top speed of a honda x8r with these performance parts?

Gianelli Exhaust
Polini 70 kit
Hebo Variator
Gear up kit (15/49)
Polini Race Clutch

Thanks

I think what they're trying to say is that it won't be noticeable mucker. Modifications on scooters are a waste of time to be honest, tell him to save the money and put it towards doing his test before new regulations come in. Wink

Consider a pink power band too. That is one of the most cost effective mods you can make.

Why do people always reccomend the pink one! The black ones are much better for top end speed (my Senda can now outrun Busa's on the straights, on the back wheel, at idle).

Oh, and the black ones look sexy aswell.

i agree my comment was a little immature. and im not a teenager thanks.
but yes all those mods wud probably achieve 65mph. but in my opinion i would wait a get a bigger bike. you would apreciate it more when you get it. its up to you.

I'm 19 actually, and I don't need a good look at myself. if you ask silly questions you're going to get silly answers.

O and @ asdf. Read the ratings guidlines before using them please. Wink

How about half a black one and half a pink one held together with an HRC sticker.

Acceleration of the pink, top end of the black. 5 hp for the HRC sticker. Thumbs Up

Totally deliberate FLAME, 'ham. Youre a such a mean bastard.

Can everyone just stop taking the piss out of people? Really? You cunts!

Original Poster - I feel for you, these replies were absolute wank.

What I will say, is youre looking at a speed of around 160mph. Now with a ten percent speedo and a bit of modesty...possibly around 145mph.

Be careful man, and have fun Thumbs Up

I am sick and tired of these posts taking the piss out of new riders with peds and geared 50's and such, BACK OFF, we all had to start some where on 2 wheels, and its morons like you taking the piss continually in every thread asking about tuning peds and such that puts people off biking, Grow up and shut up, IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING VALUEABLE TO INPUT TO THE THREAD THEN DONT WASTE THE POSTERS TIME WITH PUTTING A LOAD OF RUBBISH FOR THEM TO READ !

All these guys with peds are doing is asking good honest questions, no one was born a mechanical guru or a walking workshop manual we all had to learn about everything and its good to see new riders taking a interest in looking after their bikes, and carrying out upgrades them selves so stop being ignoramus's and lets help these people out as thats why were all on this forum to be part of a rather awesome biking community and help each other out...

My absolute advice with peds is just ride them as they are, if it buggars a piston n barrel then stick a 70 kit on and if the exhaust rots put a better one on, but save your cash towards your test or a 125 or what ever vehicle you aim to progress to next Smile, Good luck with biking and try to ignore the piss taking wasters who have nothing decent to offer you.

Enjoy your top end rebuilds Laughing

Limited to moderate performance gains will come at detriment to parts reliability. And furthermore, it's techically illegal if you're still 16 on a 50cc, but if you're willing to accept it and bear to consequence of the maintenance and the law, then go ahead.

Ben (Binge) used to have a modded out speedfight about 4 years ago or so. 70cc'd uprated parts - carb, piston, reeds. honestly pushed 60-65 on his speedo - which at that point was a cycle speedo (them sigma things). I've found them, if calibrated properly to me more accurate than the gear/spindle driven ones. The factor out the 10% or so errors to give you a more realistic speed. i.e. in my case on my 250 - 105 mph was more like 93mph real!

Either way, its a helluva lot of money to be pissing down the drain for maintenace if you can't do it yourself.

*Climbs down from high horse*

You're looking at about 5-10mph on whatever it would be stock once de-restricted.

In short not worth bothering for the money you'd be putting into it.

Save up and get a 125. As mentioned above if you're 16 you'll be riding completely illegally. 70 kits are pretty easy to spot.

Why do you want to know the top speed for?

well with them parts id say about 60mph, i had a yamaha aerox with everything done to it except the gear-box side of things (didnt get that done, if i did the front wheel would never be on the floor) i hit about 65-70mph (clock by a car so dont say its bullshit please) they are stunting bikes and are very quick though, so with what you are going to do to it id say about 60mph maby just over but what has been said about saving for a 125 that would be a better idea, i wish i never wasted the money on my ped now Smile

hope this helps you out and to all the childish retards here they should just get fucked and only post things that are worth-while.
