 |
|
So, picture the scene, I've sold as much as I can to buy my new bike, a 1 owner 2000 ZX6r, never been out in rain or winter sort of bike.
I excitedly go and collect the bike, until to my horror, the road appears to be getting gritty, eventually I catch up with the gritter. Apart from being mighty pissed of my brand new toy has just got a nice salt coating, my visors royally fogged up..or so it seems.
I open the visor to try and get rid of fogginess, and it doesn't go, so I wipe it, and its on the outside, and I've made it even worse...! After much rubbing, I have not achieved anything (a first for me )
So...basically...how in the f**cking hell do you get the salt off your visor while your out on the road...

Or of course,

Wait for a car in front to wash it's windscreen and ride behind catching the spray, they're never properly adjusted. Failing that keep a moist paper towel in your pocket/tank bag and when you stop a lights etc... give your visor a quick wipe, or buy a V-Sponge ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

Another vote for the V-Sponge They're excellent.
You don't say what the weather was like, but i've been in the same situation in my car (with skooshies frozen solid) and had to stop in laybys and get some grass with frost/ice on and clean my windshield (every few miles for 20 miles).
On a rather stupid side note, when I got to my destination I bought a bottle of water to help clean it on the way back. Volvic mineral water turns to ice instantaneously when applied to a freezing cold windshield at 70mph |

I saw a most naff thing on a website that was a wee dish that had a wee sponge soaking on it. Attached to your bars.
Dead cute it was. You could use it for wiping shit off your visor and wiping cream off a kitten's muzzle.
Awwwe.
