Are they as performance enhancing as they are advertised to be? I presume they're weaker in pot hole smashability, than standard wheels?

Would you say they are worth their high price?

Unless you are a hardcore racer who wants to shave 1-3 seconds off your lap times they are not worth the money.

They will also make your bike turn in a bit quicker to.

Most people fit them because they are tarts Wink

Hi

For straight line performance I would not expect any great difference.

Handling wise they can make a large difference, as long as you are prepared to do a lot of changes to the suspension to match.

Faster turn in happens because the wheels act as a kind of gyroscope to keep the bike upright. Less weight means less keeping it upright.

All the best

Keith

Righty then, cheers Thumbs Up

Only asking because there's adverts for them everywhere in mags and stuff. Just wondered if they're as good as they are said to be. Don't worry I won't be buying any, would rather buy a second bike Wink

Indeed.

As Keith suggests; they can offer some decent advantages, as they lower both unsprung weight and rotational inertia.

However, for what they cost, I'd just turn the throttle a bit more or countersteer a bit harder and use the money to buy some track time, tuition, etc Smile.
