Shocked That's pretty shocking.

So I'm guessing the chain just fell off the sprocket, seeing as there were no teeth to hold it on?

Sheesh. Rolling Eyes

I just hope her rear sprocket is in better shape than her front one in that case!

I've done that to a sprocket in under 2000 miles... on a GPZ500.

If you ride one from Canterbury to Edinburgh with the throttle pinned to the stop the whole way and rely on wax spray to lube the chain, it'll be jumping teeth by the time you get there.

Buy a scotoiler. It will pay for itself within a year.

Hi

Worst sprocket I have seen was an alloy one on a Cagiva Freccia I bought for spares. It was so smoothly worn you could rub your fingers on the teeth with no risk of cutting them.

Or there was this front one belonging to a long time member on here.

All the best

Keith
