planned trip in September

me and the wife (both late 40's) have got a 6 birth 3 bedroomed static caravan on a complex in Frejus (south of france) booked for a week 6th September 2008

planned route is Frejus via Millau then back via the Alps (maybe via Stelvio pass) any couples interested in joining us for a nice steady scenic picture taking trip lasting 2-3 weeks (depending on the final routes) staying in cheap hotels to and from Frejus?

drop us a line if interested as after doing France alone the last 3 times we'd be happy to have a bit of English company for a change

caravaner Shocked
read again, the static home (not a caravan) is our base whilst on the south coast for 7 days of exploring the area (gorge du verdon etc) better than a tent and cheaper than hotels Thumbs Up

this is the complex we'd be staying on whilst in Frejus
https://www.holidaygreen.com/

managed to get the static for £200 for the week (cost to be split)

gorge du verdon is only 20-30 miles away

what part of France are you going to?
how many miles a day do you intend to do?
how long are you going for?

we tend to take out time and take the scenic (toll free) routes and often stay in cheap hotels along the way (b&b hotel chain or formula1 hotels) £25 per room per night and sleeps upto 3 people.
never done camping in France but we have seen plenty of sites as we travel so that should n't be a problem for you.

2 years ago we based ourselves in bourg st maurice in the rhone Alps (b&b 40 euros per night) and there is a large campsite there and the surrounding scenery and roads are stunning
only 600 miles from Calais

plans have now changed
setting off from Hull 31st August (north sea ferries)

Germany(Black forest)
Austria (glossglockner pass)
Italy (stelvio pass)
France (Frejus on the south coast nr Cannes) 6th-13th
heading home via Rhone Alps

offer still open to any couple/s who want to join us for all or part of the trip, or even make your own way to Frejus for the week (i can plan route and stop overs for you if required)
