I listen to radio every day at work, but radio1 is starting to do my head in... always the same songs, jo whiley (after chris moyles? or is it edith bowman? ) well whoever, shes fucking annoying all she goes on about is the coffee she bought this morning that had 1 too many sugars, or about her daughter yadda yadda bollocks..

So.. whats a good radio station I could try? (south coast if that affects anything) I like music like linkin park that sorta genre... I do like chart stuff as well, nickleback, biffy clyro, gnarls barkley etc... and some random pop/dance etc.... so want a station that places the latest music + older music in that genre, doesn't talk about shit all day and doesn't have more ads than music...

okay im dreaming aren't I?

Has to be FM not DAB cos I don't have a DAB radio atm.... want a radio option rather than ipod.. I'm about to buy an ipod, but don't really wanna take it to work on buildin sites etc.

Get a DAB radio I love mine.

Any way, xfm is pretty good. Play new rock etc. Its good

But I dunno if you will be able to pick it up... I can only get xfm Manchester because of my dab radio.

There is a xfm london I think...

Don't get an iPod - I've had three, and spec and price is shite compared to other mp3 players on the market. They look nice but they always lack.... something

An alternative to the shuffle is the Creative Zen stone Plus with speaker - 2Gb with radio & built in speaker for £36, compared to the 1Gb shuffle (recently reduced to £32 meh) with no radio

https://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=17437

I'm fed up with itunes too although there are alternative to it but you still need it to restore or sort out problems

106 point something Heart London is good. When I was working days I used to listen to a bit of Chris Moyles as I got a bit bored of him after a year or so. Jo Wiley bored me to tears because she just seems to be a very boring person, Edith is also quite boring, was better when Colin was with her. Scott Mills is great though, still listen to him now as I start work just before he comes on. And Vernon is good at the weekends and the other indian guy on sunday afternoon, is it Nihal or something.

It's the only national station I listen to though, Radio 2 and 4 just don't do it for me, I have Radio 4 on my alarm clock because those stupid role play stories on it annoy me so much I have to get up and turn it off.

I used to love the chris moyles show, but its nothing now without carpark catchphrase! Laughing just isn't the same show anymore IMO.

Scott Mills is the main reason for listening into radio 1! funny as fook! but unfortunately I miss most of it as I finish work most days at 4pm and tend not to listen to radio out of work. Sad

I find driving rusty nails in to my ear drums is a better alternative to radio 1.

XFM is okay if you can get it.

Get a dab or a cheapo mp3 player Thumbs Up

On FM I like Kiss 100, if you can get it down there. Coverage out of London can be patchy.
On DAB, so many stations. Planet rock, 1Xtra and BBC Asian network just for starters.

An alternative to R1? pretty much anything!

At work we have given up with radio and just listen to CD's or MP3 players through the music box. Do you use a 110v (not sure if they do a 240v version) tranny for your power tools? you can get Dewalt/Makita etc site radios with an input for a CD or MP3 player and they can be stored safely inside it Thumbs Up

Always listened to Radio 2. Plenty of variety, but not all the shite you seem to get elsewhere.

I used to be a big fan of Chris Moyles, used to be so good if you were travelling in the car in the morning, used to make me laugh somewhat, but over the past year it has just gone shit.

As for Jo fricking Whiley, I want to shoot her. Annoying annoying annoying!!!!

Scott Mills is good though.

I've just never really got into Radio 2, though on a Sunday morning you just gotta listen to Steve Wrights Sunday Morning love songs. Embarassed Laughing

Get a dab. You still got 25 days worth of planet rock to listen to before the bitch from capital axes it. Evil or Very Mad
I'd chew my own ears off rather than listen to moyles.
