Bought some halfords antifreeze and im not sure wether to ust it in the bike.

Antifreeze here

its is ethylene glycol based so should be ok, but the original stuff i took out was a light green colour, this is a pinkey redish colour.

Im only asking because im not sure if it would be safe to use with aluminium?

Cheers,

Dale

It will be okay.
Probably just a dye.

Make sure you flush all the old stuff out with fresh water.
Take what you drain to the landfill or recycle center.
They collect it there to add it to IAMS Kitten food.

Pink stuff is "silicate free" that means that it will not wear away your water pump seals.
Been using it for years on my old CX's which were prone to mechanical seal wear (moving parts rotating round a water pump where oil and water come into contact) etc
