Is there any advantadge of the USB unit other than the connection? ie. can you do more with the later units?

Main differences are: The USB has the Accelerator Pump utility, also has a port for add-ons like quick shifter and that LCD display thing. I'm sure theres other differences too.

Usb power commanders are also mapped every 250 rpm instead of 500rpm in most cases.
Unless its a pc3r which has a serial port and allows you to create an igniton map also then go for the usb one every time.

You can use tuning-link with the USB models which is easier for the dyno operators.

Some of the PC3R models allowed you to alter ignition, which you can do with USB but you have to buy another (expensive) addon. USB also allows you to add a Hub, which can hold two maps, and activate nitrous, and map for turbo on any fuel-injected bike, which is handy Wink
