3 photo's, 1 normal, 1 shot with an exposure of -2, and one shot with an exposure of +2.

using a program called photomatix it creates a basic HDR photo for you by combining all 3 pictures.

loads of tutorials on google,

one here https://www.cre-aid.nl/2006/06/13/hdr-high-dynamic-range-workshop/

gimme a few mins i'll fetch you the photomatix program if any of you want to play Laughing

You take 3 shots from exactly the same position with 3 different exposures and merge them together... Very Happy

for the best effect it's probably best taking 3 photo's using a good camera, if you only have 1 photo then go in photoshop and alter the exposure that way, then save 3 photo's and mix them into Photomatix.

You need three highly contrasting exposures (low, medium and high) and the special software (Photomatix is free off the web).

The Picture with the R1 and Beemer is miles ahead of the rest in terms of quality, purely in my opinion because it is subtle, yet brings the photo out so well.

No, no, no. These are Americans, they put their R1 on the back of their truck, unload it at the destination and then take the pics.

Personally I think most of those are overdone, though there are a couple of really sweet ones.

Photoshop also has a "merge to hdr" function. This is what I'm playing with at the moment and it does everything I want plus a lot more...
