I've been riding just over 3 years and during the last 20 odd thousand miles, i've had my fair share of cars pulling out on me. All
until day, because they didn't look properly.

Today, I can now don the "I've had a car deliberately try and hit me badge"

Basically, I have to cross a dual carriageway which is on a hill. In the middle of the dual carriageway, there is a bit you can wait to turn. I was there first and to the right.

When a car arrived to my left and then pulled out just as I was turning to join the road. (I was going straight in to the outside lane). Hence me braking etc. (even if he hadn't seen me, he should have gone straight to the left hand lane).

Anyway I caught up with this wanker and gave him the bird, to which I was given a full on attempt to swipe me out. Luckily I avoided him.

(At this point, why do drivers of S reg Rover 420GSis think they can out perform a 500cc bike??).

I followed this guy to a local supermarket, which was surrounded by cameras and mums with kids. After a few expletives, he said, when his car swerved lanes, he was in fact trying to apologise for his earlier mistake and he caught the wheel when trying to wave.

You've got to hand it to him, its quite an amazing excuse.

No I didn't have a fight, we were much the same build as each other and no I didn't phone the police. I'm normally up for this sort of thing but today I wasn't, I just rode off.

Anyone else been deliberately targeted?

I moved on a little stopped my bike and looked at the guy i thought about getting off and sorting him out but then i thought fuck him he's not worth getting nicked over , so i gave him the finger and rode off home for a nice cup of tea Laughing

I had a wanker in a pick-up trying to crash into me in the car today. I overtook someone with plenty of space with this pick-up coming the other way, I wouldn't even describe it as a tight overtake. But this pick-up takes offence and decides to swerve in front of me with his horn blazing. I assume he expected me to swerve over onto the side of the road as he really shit it when I just carried on straight.

I had one deliberately ram me, after he tried to side-swipe Mikey-J. I chased him all over Brighton for half an hour until he went off-road and lost me. He was nicked, but as there was only me and Mike to bear witness he was let off. Still, he had it hanging over his head all over xmas.

Last summer me and a friend went to a pub in Harefield near Denham, I left earl because I was tired but my friend and his Mrs stayed a little longer.

I get home and get a phone call from my friend "some twat has rammed me off my bike!", I got down there and his bike was on its side, police car behind his bike and his Mrs looking quite shaken.

An Audi had overtaken him quite closely and sped off, he didn't do anything, no hand gestures, nothing. As he gets to the A40 sitting at the traffic lights is the Audi who had been waiting for him, the lights turned green and he carried on ignoring the car. He gets 300 yards up the road and then the car swerved in front of him forcing him to stop, hes thinking WTF and then the car reverses into the bike!

Luckily neither of them were seriously injured, but the driver was never caught because it was stolen and the car didn't match the plates.

He's just very unlucky.

I think your mistake was to make a gesture that made him cross and react before he had thought about what he was doing.

Yes he was a twat, but many people are twats. Provoking them when you are in a vulnerable position is not really a good idea in my opinion.

If you want to get them back, rather than giving a hand gesture, why not follow them home and damage their car or something. Also a bit silly, but far safer.

If he had hit you and killed you and there had been witnesses, he would have used exactly the same excuse he used to you, to a policeman, if any policeman actually gave a shit. He might have felt bad about it for a bit, but he would have gotten over it, but you would be dead.

thankfully not been swerved at on the bike but i have swerved at a bike in the car.

maybe i shouldnt admit this on a bike forum but hey the c*** deserved it.

he was out with his mate who was going rather slow, 30-40 max on a 60mph, i over took the slower rider (the gap was more than large enough to overtake without issue)

then i went to over take the lead bike, at this point the IDIOT of a biker sped up, all because i over took his mate :-S, i see that there is a car coming towards me so i go to slow down to pull back in, what does he do, slow down, so i try pulling forward again thinking ok the idiot is going to let me overtake, nope he speeds up, at this point i see red and swerve directly towards the idiot. (i didnt get close)

at this point i realise this biker wants to die so i stay behind him and hope he'll become a statistic some day, we reach a round about where he goes all the way round giving me the bird and rejoins his mate.

i continue my journey.

now i know my actions were uncalled for but we all see red sometimes and its was all because as a biker cant deal with being overtaken, what a prat.

i still wish death on this fellow biker Smile

Yup a Bmw driver didnt like the fact I was about to filter past whilst he waited in trafiic. Took 3 swipes all in all - It was either go past and get pushed into on comming traffic, or an Island or pull in behind him - So I choose the latter.

When filtering between standing traffic I have had cars purposely swerve into the middle lane when they see me approaching thus blocking my progress....

I normally stare at them in mirrors and wait for big enough gap to jump through

I've had it happen to me. Had some kid in a 306 pull out on me without indicating on a residential street. I'd have put it down to him being an idiot and doing a SMIDSY, but he then started randomly doing emergency stops trying to get me to ram into the back of him, there were cars on both sides of the road, and he was swerving at me every time I tried to overtake. Shocked

In the end i just found a decent gap and took him, but even then he was trying to keep up with me. Thank god i was on the VFR and not still on a 125...

Some cock job in a calibra pulled out on me so i shook my head at him, and went to overtake him, he then swerved towards me. But i was well on my way past. Gets to the lights and he gets out and starts pushing me about.

Stand Down, off the bike smacked him in the nose, he got in his car, and i got back on the bike and buggered off home.

I had this with an HGV of all things, in Northern ireland back end of last year. Overtook 2 HGV's that were nose to tail, probably squirted up to about 80 or so to get past, about 2 miles down the road pulled off the road to check the map and discuss the next caffeine break. in the time we were pulled over the two trucks passed us again, out we pulled mate in front me behind. Mate overtook the two trucks i indicated and pulled out only for the truck to swerve into an overtaking position also, no indicators or anything, forcing me onto the hard shoulder on the opposite side of the road. He was too far astern of the truck he was following to overtake, he made no attempt to overtake and indeed pulled straight back in once i had overtook them both on the opposite hard shoulder.

Didnt even shake my fist i got such a scare, the guy blatantly tried to kill me and i just wanted to get away from there.

only thing i can think of is the English plates and we were on the road into Omah, which if i got the murals right is a republican stronghold.

I used to get really worked up with all the clowns behind wheels on the roads. Now I just dont let it get to me cause having a cool head onthe bike is better then letting emotions take over.

Once I was going down a one way road off a dual carridgeway and it was a real down slope road. The car in front missed some small turning on the right so slammed on the brakes and started reversing!! It was the most bizzare move and I skidded down the road just clipping my knee on the corner of the back of the car.

I got off the bike (half limping) and went up to the drivers door and opened it ready to kill the person. I then realised it was a woman with her kids in the back crying as they were so scared. I ended up apologising and getting on the bike and leaving. I felt soo guilty..

Since then i just keep cool and ignore no matter what..

I had a car overtake me down the A4 once, I was doing 65 and he cut me up. Then he slowed to about 40/45, when I got fed up of him I went to overtake, only for him to swerve out at me. Followed him for a good few miles. He kept checking his mirrors, ended up on the phone so I just pulled over, waited a minute to cool off. Then road home.

Was hit side to side by a van once. Damn uninsured drivers and their fake name/number/address... One day I'll meet him again Twisted Evil

Have this quite frequently being on a noisy little 50cc.
Had a 2.0 clio turbo valver chase me round town 3 times, if it wernt for my bike being so thin i would of been dead =/

also a kid died down here the other day when a white van man went mental on him, hit him, he came off wrote off a nice rs125 and then with the force of the van hitting him, skidded along the floor into a lampost.
that killed him.

Dangerious world with the amount of tossers than can get licenses these days.
