Might want to think about lubing your chain more than once a century too, looks like it's rusted to hell.

Looks bone dry to me. And rust brown, not gold.

Considering your Dad owns a workshop, has he actually taught you anything about maintaining bikes?

Laughing I'd be less worried about a rusty chain than no oil in my engine if I'm honest. Although I have to say my engine burns/leaks a little oil, and my chain is rusty, and I don't have any rear brake pads in.

Soon to be fixed though.

Good luck with your rebuild

Lesson 2 : Oil is more of a God than Araldite
When your putting the engine back together (if your stripping it and rebuilding it) get a oil can and oil up your bearings and stuff, it also helps to slip in pistons too. Ow yea is stops bikes from seizing too. Thumbs Up

So not much to post until I've finished the respray, and they need 62 hours to dry apparently. Going away for easter will be back next tuesday so the paint will have dried and then i can just bolt it all back on.

I was expecting an engine rebuild, rather than an engine swap? Confused Eh?
