Only my own, which is gonna suffer to pay for the thing. But i`ve always found it much easier to justify money on a bike than a car.

For the same cash i could get a mint Fiat Punto, maybe even the 1.4i Smile

They're nice bikes, but is it really much of an upgrade from a 2001 RSV? Engine won't be much different (more peaky I think, if anything) and you've lost all wind protection. I guess if you're trying to slow yourself down then it makes sense though, which may be the aim of you buying a naked bike.

Enjoy it Thumbs Up .

Agreed, although theres a story with the RSV.

Bought the bike 3 saturdays ago, dealer said i could pick it up the following saturday, they were going to put on a new battery and do a full service including valve clearances. great.

Picked her and, and within 20 metres i noticed a subtle wobble, a light weave left and right. I figured it was an Italian 'quirk' lol and carried on; after all nothing was gonna ruin my day with my dream bike.

30 miles in and it hadnt improved, and infact it was shaking its head under braking. SHIT i thought as i dropped it back at the dealers. I told them to sort it out and get back to me. They sent off the forks to be serviced (ohlins forks) and i waited . . . .and waited . . . .and waited. That week was horrendous, knowing that i should just cancel the deal and walk away, but the bike looked mint and the HPI check was clear.

Anyway, this friday i went in to have a look and the mechanic told me it was still doing it, also the forks were back on the bike only 3 days after i was told they had been sent for servicing which would take a week. . . . . . . . i figure the forks never went anywhere.

I cancelled the deal, so in all i owned an RSV for 30 miles!!

Anyway, yesterday i went to look at an older RSV, i had no intention of buying because it was the older pre-2001 shape which i dont like very much. Its fair to say the bike i looked at was a shitter, it claimed 13,000 miles, but i am aware of a fault with the battery whereby the ODM resets itself, and with NO service history i suspect more like 30,000.

On the way out i saw the Tuono, and with my budget of 4k i sat on it. The dealer saw me taking an interest and asked if i wanted to start her up, i said sure although with only a budget of 4k there was no chance of me buying it.

30 seconds later i was walking towards his office to do a deal, over a grand over my own personal max budget, but inside whooing with joy.
