right people i was just wondering whats the best way to improve my fitness.

i play rugby and football alot 5 times a week in total but i find i am not that fit. im not fat 6"ft 11 stone but went on a 3 mile run and felt like death after it.

i think my diet has abit to do with it because i do eat alot of junk.

basically if i try improve my diet and health will i become fitter because my body will have less fat.

from the exercise i do already i shud be fit but i am not.

Its not just about wieght when it comes to diet,
You need a healthy balanced diet becuase provides you a mix of essential nutriants, and carbohydrates, protien, fibre, vitamins ect ect. In short if you start to eat healthy then yes you will start to feel better and be noticably fitter for it in maybe as little as a month. Depending on diet Thumbs Up

thai boxing if you can find a good gym and can afford to do it after a couple of months of going a twice or more a week you will definitely feel improvement. Or you can just go for a 3 mile run every couple of days until you can do it no problem.

Btw I'm only 5ft9 and I'm usually half a stone heavier than you, I'm going into tha marines, so you have nout to worry about with your weight.

I think tha problem with sports of that nature, especially football is that you spend very little time actually doing much excercise, it tends to be short little bits here and there.

I'm training with a guy who's running the marathon in April. When I first started running, he told me to run for lengths of times instead of distances.

Firstly I changed my diet, eating healthily, drinking the right amount of liquids each day really helped. I was feeling better, more energetic and more awake within 2 weeks.

I'd run (or stagger at the beginning) for 15 minutes from my house, then turn around and come back. I'd do this 3 times a week, soon enough I was running 3 miles in that 30 minute run. Once I was running 30 mins comfortably, I extended the time to 40 mins etc etc.

Two months in and I'm running for about an hour at a time.

It's amazing how quickly you'll pick up with the right diet and exercise. At the beginning I thought there was absolutely no hope for me, now I'm running quite well and feeling a lot better in general!
