Right, I've had a Golf with slightly mismatched wings and bonnet etc cut and polished to good effect. I was wondering if it can be done to bike fairings, anyone know?

I've got a bunch of mixed Mito fairings than can be made into a set or two, all are the same colour, but some are older, so a little faded. I just wondered if having them cut and polished would improve the match between panels.

Anyone?

certainly worth a go.

Why not get onto somewhere like www.cleanyourcar.com forum where this sort of topic is more likely to get seen by some paint correction specialists who can help?

Depends if its got topcoat on
Likely to have one.

Use a proper compound
not Tcut.

It should work either way and its how professionals blend panels among with other ways.

No plans on doing it myself, I'll leave that to a bodyshop. Laughing

Just wanted to know if anyone had any first hand experience. I'll take a look at that forum and start calling around on Tuesday.

Thanks, Thumbs Up

Of course it can be done.......it's the same paint on bike fairings as it is on a car. Just watch it if you have any stickers that aren't lacquered over. Do it yourself......buy a buffer for £50 and a bottle of Ferecla G10! You can do any others yourself in the future then. Just keep a good hold on your fairings otherwise you'll end up flinging them across the garage if the buffer snags!
