How do you find a car dyno place? There are loads of places with bike dynos, but not sure for cars. Anyone help me? Looking either in Kent or West Midlands (Shrewsbury).

Thanks! Smile

Find your local automotive/mechanical college, you may get your car rolling roaded for free.

TSR Performance have one in Somerset.... Have a browse around https://www.sw-pc.com/ - they're all a bit nutty about turbo motors and most of the chaps have been to proper rolling roads. One thing though is that 2 rollers will not give you the same reading. It's apparently all about the operator and how much he knows.

I had a mk2 Golf 8v and it was rollered. Produced 138 at the wheels. Apparently. Rolling Eyes But I knew better. More like 100 at the wheels at the MOST.

And just how far is Bexley from Kent, 3 miles? Long way to go that is Rolling Eyes

It was the closest one to me when I lived there (Kent). I used it quite a lot and was always pleased with their service and expertise, valid reason for suggesting it? I thought so.

TSR are shit, they did the swpc boys cars and there was a evo i think which got around 290 on their rollers, the next week it was taken to bristol at interpro, and was tested on their rollers and produced 370,

Apparently because the rollers wernt being used properly.
