new engine, respray, new fairings, polished forks, repaired tank, new pads, new tyres, anodised bolts, and generally just a nice clean. New screen on its way.

Looks good though Thumbs Up

Yep, for some reason the previous owner of my CBR replaced every fucking bolt with GOLD (bike is red/black, wtf?) anodised junk.

Managed to replace all the fairing bolts with nice stainless, engine bolts were going fine then two were a bit stiff and snapped off. Mad

I will get round to getting them drilled out one day... Rolling Eyes

the downpipe you can see is very ugly, isn't there a bit of fairing that covers that and the engine?

Yeah, where's the bellypan?

I really can't get on with half faired bikes though, for that reason.

Where/how did you get the tank repaired? What was the damage to it?

My SV650SK3 has a big dent in the top of the tank where it blew over in this bloody wind we are having of late and fell against a vertical pole. I assumed it wasn't repairable.

I was looking at 2nd hand tanks but no silver about so was thinking of getting another colour then getting it repainted. New replacement tank is £400, forget that.

Glad you aren't bothering with lower fairings, they look naff. The SV is a half-faired bike and it should stay that way, gives it character.

Nice bike mate, Is it that loud when your riding it? Or does the helmet block some of the noise.
