Hi guys,

I need to get rid of my GS500E now, it's been standing for 6 months so it's a non runner, it's also got a leaking fuel tank and is CAT D.

But, it had loads of parts on it new before I stopped riding it...

- New chain and sprockets, that I battered with lube before I stopped riding
- New Air Filter
- HEL Braided Lines
- New plugs
- New Battery (will be mullered now though)

How much do you think I'd get for it? The plastics are tatty, and there's lots of rust around the pegs and frame, but the engine was in ok nick before I stopped riding it?

I imagine I'd get more parting it out, but I really can't be arsed, and I can't decide on a suitable price, I paid £700 for it.

(1995 model, 25,000 miles-ish)

Cheers!

T

Would probably be worth getting it running at least - people will pay more for a bike they can hear running.

If you weren't so far away I might have been interested.

Bury it in the garden, deny all knowledge of ever owning a GS500E

Oh the shame of it ............... admitting you`ve owned a GS500E

Someone's giving me a replacement fuel tank, so I might be getting it back on the road.

you really should get it running and sell it that way.
theyre so cheap with T&T that its hardly worth the effort to part it out.

cant need that much doing to get roadworthy again?

if you were local to me id take it off you in its present condition.
