Hey Guys,
Well i have roughly 150 pound to spend on bike clothing. I want something warm and decent thats also at a good price. I've looked into the textile type clothing but can't find much. I'm about 5 ft 10" If this helps or Small/medium men. Can any of you give any advice as to whats good and what isn't?

Thanks.

Bike clothing?

Do you just want the jacket and trousers, or do you need boots as well?

I'm assuming you've got a helmet or a seperate budget for a helmet?

I've got my helmet Smile But basically... Thats all i have. I know i only ride a 50cc but don't really fancy taking chances as it will be used in all weathers and also I've read a lot on here about different crashes happening at low speeds. So i would rather ensure my safety Smile Hope that helps?

Head off to a J&S or something. Jacket, gloves and boots, albeit budget can be had for that money.

Jacket £60
Boots £50
Gloves £20

Cheapo lined waterproof trousers with the change?

Shaaaaane, 'Albeit' is a top italian manufacturer that all the racers wear.

Best bet is to go into a few bike shops and ask for it - if they look at you blankly, then they obviously don't know there stuff. Go ask in another shop until you find one that does. Thumbs Up

Have you got Aldi or Lidl nearby? They were doing stuff recently and it was pretty cheap and seemed to get good reviews on the forums. I only bought a tankbag so cant comment on the boots, jackets and trousers. My local Aldi has some stuff left over, but not much so you may need to be quick.

Awww, sorry petal Laughing I actually feel bad now, thought you'd realise it was a piss take Shifty Razz

Lidl/Aldi will be well worth a look (although it'll be dregs left by now) I had a look at the jackets/pants when I went in, they seem reasonable enough. I came away with some £13 gloves that I'm very happy with so far.

Some people scoff at the very idea of buying lidl/aldi stuff, but they are made to pass fairly high standards and are not market stall junk. Will do you well until you can afford better.

Oh, and I would make sure you do get trousers, and not do without to spend more on jacket/gloves etc.

Legs/knees are very vunerable and well worth protecting.

Thanks for the advice guys Smile Will defiantly look into it.
Will my helmet be ok because i originally payed 70 for it last year but my dads gf got a new helmet and is has a gold sticker on back saying its safe to use and has passed motorcycle safety checks. My dads has same but mine doesn't.

Will this still be ok? It hasn't been dropped.
