i'm certainly not raggin it. only had it for just over a week so I've not explored it's limits yet.more often that not, I ride very conservatively cos im not used to the IL4 engine.

I was expecting more like 150 too.will the restriction make much difference? If not, what else could be causing it?

cheers

I get between 85 and 130. Chuck some redex through it. Depends how much you rag it, and how many cold starts you do. When I'm at college/work I do around 4 cold starts a day. Is it running rich also? Mine is very rich.

The other day I decoked my zorst and put a litre of redex in one tank (I forgot to read the instructions) and since then it's been running like a charm. Give that a try? Caustic soda from B+Q or homebase couple quid and a litre of redex about 12 quid. + added fun of a few moments running with no end can on while the soda does its stuff Very Happy

The restriction won't make a difference either way.

What you need to do is look at how much you put in before hitting reserve, compared to tank capasity.

Or just work out you mpg.
Fill to top, zero trip meter. Next time you fill up, again fill to top, note amount put in and miles done.
miles/litres = ltr per mile. X by 4.55 gives you MPG
